Women’s Health Fair is May 4
LANCASTER — It Takes a Village, a Women’s Health Fair sponsored by
the Seventh-day Adventist Village Church, will be held on Sunday,
May 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the church hall, 75 Sawyer St.
Among those scheduled to participate are: the Mass. Breast Cancer
Coalition; the Appalachian Hiking Association; the American Red
Cross; and the American Cancer Society, which will offer a skin
screening.
Other booths will feature free massages, a dietitian/ nutritionist
from the WIC Program in Worcester and an acupuncturist.
There will be several nurses who will be doing education and
prevention programs on high blood pressure, diabetes and high
cholesterol. There will be free blood pressure checks.
Sari Schaffer, a homeopathic consultant, will offer lectures on
homeopathic and how it benefits you.
Other participants include: Scentsibilities, a Boylston business
featuring herbal plants and products; Mary Kay; Curves of Clinton;
Simply Home; the Adventist Book Center and A Better Choice Health
and Nutrition Center.
A breast cancer survivor will speak on recovery; her business
focuses on teaching Pilates to cancer survivors.
